Barry M Chisel Cheek Contour Kit

Britains leading cosmetic company have been keeping the nation on trend for over 3 decades with their cruelty free makeup range.

Well Barry M have done it again by putting a contour kit onto the market in competition with some of the other high end names.

I have been searching high and low for a contour kit that would provide me with a natural look that would help me highlight my features I like and to give my face a little more of a sculpted look without looking as if I had my face painted by a child.

After reading some good and some not so good reviews I decided to give the Barry M kit a go. At £6.49 which is a lot less than some of the other kits on the market. I also wanted my own opinion on the kit.

The kit arrived the next day and I couldn't wait to try out the product, so I opened the protective sleeve and swatched the colours ( see photo ) the product was  silky and smooth to the touch. It was then I realised on the lid of the palette there were illustrations suggesting where to put each colour on your face, which I thought was a really nice touch for someone who is new to contouring.

I began to apply the powder to my face using a real techniques contour brush, it was then I notice how smooth the product was to apply. The Barry M chisel cheek contour kit gave me the look I wanted to achieve it looked natural and subtle, but you could build up the product for more of a dramatic look if required.

So the Barry M chisel cheek contour kit is a keeper .

Burst my bubble :(

Collin Paris Resultime - Hydratant hydrating tinted face cream

I was looking for a tinted moisturiser to replace my matte finish BB cream which was drying my skin out.

I have a background in the hair and beauty industry and one of the salons I worked for was a Collin Paris appointed salon and I loved the product range as the products were so luxurious and left my skin radiant. So when I stumbled across Collins tinted cream I was excited to try it after using their products many years ago.

So I placed the order and embarked on my own little research project to see what Collins claims were for their Hydratant hydrating tinted face cream.

Collin claimed that their hydrating cream was tinted with mineral pigment which will offer a light and natural makeup look with the benefits of an anti-ageing formula the cream also contains a high concentration of hyloronic acid which provides the skin with continuous moisture and to help combat the signs of premature ageing. Collin also state that the cream contains vectorised micro-collegen which helps to boost cell and tissue metabolism. The cream does also contain sunscreen ( unfortunately Collin do not tell you at what level or factor the sunscreen is ) and vitamin E which is a anti oxidant and helps to protect your skin from harsh external factors.

The cream arrived and I was excited to see if the cream would live up to its claims, and to see if Collin the company deserved the place on the pedestal which I placed them on many years before.

At first I was a little shocked at the colour and wondering how I was going to  blend the colour to achieve a natural glow. I also had visions of a 5ft 5 Oompa Loompa looking back at me through the mirror. But I was pleasantly surprised how easy the cream was to blend in and how it left my skin with a natural and healthy glow.

My skin felt velvety and soft whilst using the cream luckily I was looking for sheer coverage as that is exactly what you get with this product.  Collin do claim that the product is buildable to achieve a more full coverage, I tend to disagree with this claim as the product becomes too cakey if applied more than once.
So if you're looking for a full coverage than this product isn't for you.

I also applied the product in a few different ways e.g using my fingers, using a beauty blender and using a foundation brush and the best way to apply this product in my opinion is using your fingers as this method seemed to blend the product in better.

Will I buy this product again? Maybe, yes for the skincare properties as my skin looked amazing after using the product and didn't cause any breakouts but no for a tinted moisturiser as there are definitely better products on the market that do exactly the same thing or even better.

But for such a low price of £3.99 for 50ml the Collin Paris Resultime Hydratant hydrating tinted face cream was definitely worth giving it a go.

But unfortunately this product has knocked them of the pedestal and definitely burst my bubble regarding Collin products .

Worth all the hype

I am always on the lookout for top quality skincare and always seem to be on the lookout for the next best thing or something that can live up to all of its claims.

So when Oz Naturals sent me a coupon code I jumped at the chance to try their "super youth eye gel". After a little research about Oz Naturals the company and their products to be honest I was left a little skeptical as their claims seemed to be unrealistic for an eye gel. I was being informed that this eye gel will be the most effective and complete eye treatment that I will ever need and that it had be designed to treat every concern such as dark circles, puffiness and even wrinkles. I nearly fell of my chair and wonder where this product had been all my life.

When the delivery man came the next day with the eye gel I nearly pulled his arm off as I was so eager to try the eye gel to see if all the claims came true or to see if I had fallen victim to clever marketing.

So I ran to the bathroom and carried out my usual skincare routine. Prior to putting on my moisturiser I pumped out some of the gel onto the back of my hand ( half a pump is all you need as a little goes along way ) as the gel touched my skin it gave an incredible cooling sensation. I applied the gel to my under eye area with my ring finger using a dabbing motion.

On application to the eyes the gel cooled and started to tighten the eye area which felt very refreshing and to my surprise my eye area looked a lot less puffy even after one application.

It's still early days but I can say that this product has improved my eye area 100% which is the first time in years that a product has lived up too all of its claims. Oz naturals super youth eye gel is definitely here to stay and will continue to have a place in my daily skincare routine . I did receive this product in exchange for an honest review.
